What to bring?

Because Barnabas Zentrum is a retreat counseling center, guests are expected to come with an earnest intent to explore their own issues of concern and a willingness to respect other guests as they also go through the counseling process. Also note that Barnabas Zentrum is not to be a “working vacation”. While Bibles and notebooks are suggested and devotional materials are welcome, we ask guests not to bring Bible study materials, sermon preparation materials or any “work” from home.  Computers and phones are permitted for emergency contact only.  Participants benefit more from the retreat without these distractions.

What to Wear?

CASUAL and COMFORTABLE are the words to remember!! At all times of the year we suggest that guests dress in layers of clothing which can be put on or removed as the temperature may vary during the day according to the amount of direct sunlight. Usually evenings are cool, even in summer, and in winter heavy coats and snow boots may be necessary. Always bring an umbrella (just in case!), although in winter, precipitation usually falls in the form of snow. In winter, snow tires are highly recommended. At all times of the year, good walking shoes are the order of the day. Since thermal baths and pools are nearby, swim suits are recommended.
