When was the last time someone offered you 12 days of both rest & refreshment and input & perspective?

If you’re checking out this website, we believe that God is up to something in your life!

For most people, it takes the first couple of days of a retreat just to begin to let down and trust the process God has them going through. As that happens, we give participants plenty of time to deal with the underlying issues that are surfacing as team problems, marital discord, anger, insomnia, depression, etc.

Although there will be teaching each morning in the group session, the goal of the time is the discussion and reflection that comes from it. We have learned through experience that group interaction serves a function that counselors alone cannot. Participants will then have the opportunity to speak alone more privately with counselors every other afternoon.

The evenings are totally free, as are the two days in the middle of the retreat. There will be some time then to do things outside of the retreat, but we ask participants not to plan a lot in advance, as you may find that what you most need is time to rest, reflect, pray and be totally uninterrupted.

Our desire is to give enough time for rest and also provide enough input to have fodder for reflection. We work to provide that balance and to personalize the retreat for the needs of the individuals.

During the retreat you can expect to:

  1. Have time to rest, read, reflect, pray, get out in nature, exercise, etc.
  2. Tell your story and be a part of a community in which you will be asked to be willing to let yourself be known, and to know the others in the group,
  3. Have the opportunity to debrief your time on the field and talk about the specific issues you’re dealing with,
  4. Be confronted with areas of your life that might be hard for you to face/deal with – but in a safe environment of grace,
  5. Look at your own past behavior patterns as a way to help you understand why people experience you as they do,
  6. Identify and examine where you go to get needs met (emotionally, relationally, physically) and why you go there,
  7. Practice various spiritual disciplines in the context of the retreat,
  8. Experience the Lord’s leading in community.
